Now that I am producing and selling awesome vegan fashion with Truth full time, I decided to exhibit in more trade shows. In April of 2013 I did my first show in Ottawa called Originals Ottawa Spring Craft Show! It just so happened that they had a last minute cancellation and I jumped at the chance!
The drive to Ottawa was…interesting. With two of my belt racks stuffed inside my Rav 4 along with as many belts as I could fit, I headed north towards our country’s capital.
If you’ve never met me in person, you might be surprised to learn I am 5’11”, which means I take up more room than the average woman. In order to fit my two belts racks inside my car, I had to move my seat up almost as far as it would go. As you can imagine, driving to Ottawa from Toronto was quite squishy! I had to make a few stops to stretch myself out. By the time I arrived, I felt more like an accordion than a vegan fashionista!
About 2 hours before I left, I got a call from the show manager asking me if I would like to be interviewed by CTV live at the show! How cool is that! They were looking for new exhibitors to interview, and lucky me, I happened to fit the bill!
Here is the video clip where I was interviewed by CTV Ottawa morning host Melissa Lamb. I focused on the Seva belt, which is the number one selling vegan belt in our line. And of course, I managed to squeeze in a bit of info about the Ellen Campaign!
